1. What is an Auto-Create policy?

Auto-Create facilitates the automatic conversion of data from staging tables into objects with minimal user involvement. Auto-Create policy is invoked when the staging table is loaded into WorkSpan via Integration.

Data on the staging table will be distributed to various objects like Opportunities, Sales Plans within WorkSpan based on Auto-Create policy. 

Source Objects or objects that the Auto-Create policy can be applied to one of your WorkSpan objects (for e.g., Sales Plans, Solutions, Opportunities,  Accounts, Activities etc). 

Destination Objects or objects that the source object will be auto-linked to one of your Partner Programs, Sales Plans, Solutions, Marketing Plans, Activities, or Accounts.

2. When will the Auto-Create policy trigger?

Auto-Create data can be imported into the system with the help of Inbound Integration.  The following scenarios will trigger Auto-Create policy: 

  • The User uploads the data using File-Based Integration
  • The User adds data to Prebuilt connectors for API-Based Integration.

The User uploads integration files via Email-Based Integration.

3. How to set up an Auto-Create policy?

Step 1: Navigate to Home > Companies > Policies > Object Association Policies.

Step 2: Click on the "Create Policy" and choose “Auto-Create Policy”. The “Create Auto-Create Policy” window opens.

Step 3: Enter a valid Auto-Create policy name. For e.g., Hexan Policy.

Step 4:  Select the Object (for e.g. Opportunity) and the relevant Integration and Opportunity template from the drop-down.

Step 5: Select the Applicable Destination Object and the Destination Object template for the Source Object selected.

Step 6:  Now that you have selected the source object, destination objects, and templates, you can set the conditions to match the field in the source object with a corresponding field in the destination object. You must select at least one matching field for the source and the destination objects.

Note: The "+ Condition" enables you to add more conditions.

Step 7: Click the "Save and Activate" button to save and create the Auto-Create policy.

Step 8:  You have now successfully created your Auto-Create policy.
