Overview
AWS Partner Central 3.0 (PC 3.0) represents a significant evolution in how partners interact with AWS's ecosystem. This guide clarifies what PC 3.0 means for your organization, the API capabilities available, and how WorkSpan is enhancing its platform to support your success.
Understanding Partner Central 3.0
What PC 3.0 Really Means
Partner Central 3.0 is primarily a user experience transformation, not a new API version.
- The Change: Partner Central is moving from a standalone portal to the AWS Console, creating a unified experience alongside AWS Marketplace.
- The APIs: PC 3.0 API’s are feature enhancements over the V2 integration API’s—there is no new "V3 integration API version."
- Your Integration: Your current WorkSpan-AWS integration continues working without disruption.
| Term | What It Means |
| New Partner Central | New Partner Central user interface within AWS Console |
| V2 Data Model | Current data format for S3/CRM integrations (unchanged) |
| PC 3.0 API Enhancements | New and expanded API capabilities for leads, solutions, benefits, and partner profiles |

- For customers currently using S3 bucket integration for CRM sync
- Separate timeline and process
- Expected deadline: Likely June 30, 2026 (not yet confirmed by AWS)
Pre-Migration Steps
Step 1. Identify or Create Primary AWS Account- This AWS account will be the primary AWS account for Partner Central access on the AWS console
- Work with the IAM admin to decide the primary AWS account

- For Marketplace sellers: connect account with highest private offer volume
- Configure IAM roles for Partner Central users
- Grant single-sign-on access to linked accounts
Step 3. Complete Business Verification- AWS requires identity verification to prevent fraud and maintain platform security
- Click "Complete verification" and sign in with your primary AWS account
- Follow the wizard for business verification
- Typically completed in minutes, it may take up to fa ew hours
- Required for platform legitimacy and security
Step 4. User Onboarding Planning- Choose which users can access the new AWS Partner Central and customize their permissions
- Export CSV of existing Partner Central users
- Follow guidance to onboard Partner Central users
- Provide SSO access and tailor AWS Marketplace permissions via IAM roles
- Invite new users by choosing "Manage users"

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Do I need to migrate immediately?
A: No. While migration became available on December 8th, you have until June 30, 2026. We recommend waiting 2-3 weeks for AWS to address initial bugs and for WorkSpan to validate migration patterns with early adopters.
Q: Will my current WorkSpan integration break if I don't migrate?
A: No. Your integration continues working, but you must migrate by the June 30, 2026 deadline to maintain access to Partner Central.
Q: What's the difference between PC 3.0 migration and S3-to-V2 API migration?
A: PC 3.0 migration moves your Partner Central interface to AWS Console. S3-to-V2 API migration (separate) changes how data syncs in your CRM integration. These are independent activities.
Q: When will WorkSpan's new API integrations be ready?
A: We're rolling out enhancements from January through March 2026 (see roadmap section). Your current integration continues working while we add new capabilities.
Q: What happens to my data during migration?
A: AWS guarantees 100% data accuracy during migration. All opportunities, solutions, partner information, and historical data transfer completely.
Q: Will I need new AWS Console accounts for my team?
A: Users will access Partner Central through AWS Console SSO. During migration, you'll map existing users to IAM roles. WorkSpan will guide you through user onboarding planning.
